He’s always admired the man, always longed to know more about him, at first because of his unusual Crest, and later… for other reasons, ones he can’t quite quantify. They’re good reasons, good feelings, and that’s both infuriatingly vague and defined enough for him to shrug and accept it.

Summary
Dean really hadn't had much time to process, well, everything. And in his defense, it was a lot. God was gone, Jack was in heaven, and Cas… Dean’s head had been reeling non-stop since the Empty ripped him away. Everything Cas had ever done or said to him, all of it had a new meaning. Little moments that should’ve meant nothing now meant everything. Cas was gone, swallowed up by a void of darkness right before his eyes. And Dean would never see him again. So it didn’t matter. None of it mattered. Not anymore.

Dean, Sam, and a newly human Cas meet up with a psychic in Louisiana to hunt a werewolf. After a successful hunt, the boys head back to the bunker, only to realize that something is wrong with Dean. They can't seem to place just what it is though. While Dean's dreams start to dissolve into waking nightmares, Sam and Cas have to search for a way to help him. Dean's having trouble deciding what's reality and what's hallucination as the monsters he's hunted his whole life start to creep into his nightmares. Cas is attempting to come to terms with his lack of grace and is desperate to help Dean any way he can. But, maybe a little humor and some psychological horror is just what these two need to come together. No one ever said that a hunter's life was easy. Featuring: Southern folklore, night terrors, Star Trek loving cajuns, and an exasperated Sam.

Loki rolled his eyes, ducking down so Mobius could hear him. And also so Loki could inhale that sharp, sweet scent that Mobius always seemed to carry with him. “Fun, Mobius. I know it’s a foreign concept to you, but now that you’re no longer under the Time Keeper’s thumb, it’s something you should think about exploring.” Loki pointed at two men dancing and kissing on the edge of the dance floor. “See those two? They know how to have fun.”
Loki was delighted as Mobius’s cheeks went pink; it was such fun to watch him flush and squirm under Loki’s attention.
“I know how to have fun, alright?” Mobius leaned into his space, their faces close as he spoke. “This just isn’t really—my type of fun.”
It was Mobius’s fault, really, for leaving him that opening. “And what is your type of fun?”

He was a homicide detective, apparently, but that didn't explain why Cas was almost naked in his kitchen, sipping coffee and bitching about his secretary. ...And why the actual hell did Cas just call him “Darling”?!
