“Wake up.” Shadow felt something gently nudge his shoulders. “We’re going to miss it.” Maria said.
Groaning, Shadow buried his face deeper into his pillow. “Tell the scientists I don’t want to.”
“There’s no testing. It’s stars, Shadow. A meteor shower. And we’re going to miss it if you don’t get your spiny butt—”
Maria yelped as Shadow shot up, nearly knocking over the blanket canopy of their pillow fort. The lights were dim, and static buzzed on the TV. But even through the darkness, Maria smiled.
“There’s a meteor shower outside, right now.” Maria grabbed Shadow by the hand and dragged him to the door. The sound of her footsteps was masked by her lacey socks. “We have to see it! It’ll be years until something like this happens again.”

Summary
The portal opened, the signal to Horde Prime was unleashed into the universe beyond Despondos, and Entrapta vanished from the Fright Zone. Now, Hordak wages a bloody war against the Princess Alliance, and spirals deeper into the darkness of his mind and the desperate longing for the Princess that betrayed him. However, battle after battle passes without him catching even a glimpse of Entrapta and her inventions. Something seems wrong with this scenario. Where is she? Did she actually betray him?
Follows Season 4 to an extent, although canon-divergent. (The story is partially illustrated by me, and now also includes guest art.)
Glossaries are included from chapter 7 onwards, and will be retroactively added to the first chapters when time allows.
