He unclasped it gently. The fabric loosened just slightly, enough to let her breathe. But it also dipped further, the curve of her back now almost entirely exposed to him. She sighed in relief, unaware—or very, very aware—of what that sound did to him.
Del’s hand hovered for a second, then rested lightly against her spine. Just for balance. Just to keep his traitorous knees from buckling.
“You’re warm,” he said before he could stop himself.
She tilted her head. “You’re sweating.”
“Because I’m standing two inches behind the most terrifyingly gorgeous woman in the galaxy, and I just undid her dress.”
