“Oi! Why don’t you both shut up and read it together? Holy fuck, you’re annoying!”
They realized simultaneously that the lunch table had been listening to their conversation grow louder for quite some time now, and both muttered out apologies.
When they turned to face each other, their eyes met, asking the same question, but Todoroki spoke first.
“Would you like to read it with me tonight?” he wondered softly.
“Sure,” Sero smiled, as butterflies replaced his stomach.
Next to him, Todoroki’s own heart was difficult to ignore.

Sero discovers that both him and Todoroki read the same manga, and their shared interest leads to a blossoming friendship. But when that friendship starts to turn into something more for Sero, he doesn't know what to do. He doesn't want to risk their newfound friendship, but Todoroki has been giving him signals that their platonic relationship might not be so platonic. Faced with a choice, Sero doesn't know what to do. He's always had difficulty letting go. His quirk is Tape, after all.

Summary
