“You know, I never asked for this!” Kaveh yells. “Do you really think I haven’t been trying? Do you think I love having you hold all of these things over my head? I swear every second I spend here gets more and more unbearable!”
The room seemed to pulse with the intensity of their emotions. Alhaitham’s mouth tugs down into a frown, and something flickers in his eyes.“If it’s so unbearable, then why haven't you left?”
Kaveh's breath caught in his throat as the question echoed through the air.
It was a question that had found its way into Kaveh's thoughts time and time again.
Yet, no matter how frequently he confronted the question 'Why?', Kaveh knew the answer all too well. It lurked within, an answer he was determined to ignore—a truth isolated within the deepest recesses of his heart. Nevertheless, it remained an ever-present ghost that would continue to haunt him.
(Or, an argument between Alhaitham and Kaveh leads to some feelings being revealed)

There are another loud series of beeps, and Alhaitham’s eyebrows are pinched together, his mouth set in a tight line as he turns to look towards the construct, before he looks back at Kaveh, expression pained and tight.
“I’m sorry,” he says, voice trembling with strain, and no, please don’t leave me, please don’t let me go-Kaveh and Alhaitham get trapped in a cavern together.

“It is my business because - ” Kaveh blurts out the first normal reason that he can think of, “- I’m going to help you get with Zhongli.”
“You’re going to what-”
Kaveh’s brain finally catches up to his mouth and, oh god, Kaveh’s going to what?
Okay. This isn’t ideal, but he can do this. This can be his way of repaying Alhaitham for letting Kaveh stay with him. This can be a totally normal thing, easy peasy, no weird obsession with Alhaitham’s love life, he’s just being a good housemate. He helps Alhaitham get together with Zhongli, Alhaitham becomes indebted to him and tada! He won’t make Kaveh do all his chores and better yet, Kaveh will be invited to the wedding!
(The wedding? Kaveh feels like he's going to be sick.)
Or: Kaveh’s convinced that Alhaitham’s in love with his perfect, well-mannered and well-dressed penpal, Zhongli, who’s staying with them in Sumeru for a few days. There’s no possible way that this could go wrong.

“Your affairs? What, are you—”
“I’m sick, Kaveh. Haven’t you noticed?”
“The coughing. Sure.” Kaveh swallows, then keeps talking like he didn’t just exhibit such an obvious nervous tell. “So, you’re sick. Is that any reason to upend your life? I understand needing to take the time to get better, but—”
“I am not going to get better. I am going to get worse, and then I am going to die,” Alhaitham says plainly.

"Don't come, Deku."
Those words haunt Izuku for years. He remembers how his hand, when outstretched to the blonde just couldn't reach him in time. And because of Izuku, because of his own inadequacy , Kacchan was gone. He was gone forever - declared dead after he was kidnapped by the League of Villains.
A truly tragic end to a hero prodigy.
Now, years later, when Izuku is on patrol, the scents of ash and gasoline hang heavy in the air. The barest notes of cinnamon sits heavy on his tongue, as he searches the streets. The scents are so familiar it wraps around Izuku like a blanket - making his heart ache has he continues his patrol.
He can't shake the feeling that someone is watching him.
It isn't until he spots a tall, mysterious blonde in an alley does he realize something's wrong. Familiar, blood-red eyes glare at him from the distance, causing Izuku to almost lose his footing. There's a crooked smirk etched onto that pale face like a razor. Izuku knows it too well, but he doesn't know if he can believe what he is seeing.

Izuku would like to consider himself a pretty level headed individual. Sure, he had the occasional tunnel vision, especially when it came to training. And hero work. And Kacchan. But, overall, Midoriya felt as though he typically kept his cool. Well, maybe that was a stretch. But, at the very least he could understand his own emotions.
So, it surprised even him when an unfamiliar emotion coursed through him as a first year approached his boyfriend, Katsuki.
“Bakugou, right?” She asked, a beautiful smile gracing her face. Her wide, bright blue eyes shined with excitement. Her long, darker blue hair settled down her mid back. She was beautiful.

Stuck in a ghost-like state, the boy enters a race against time in order to save himself from permanently dying. Much to his luck - or lack of it -, the only person who can see and talk to him in this state is no one other than Kacchan.
