Finding a connection within their shared feelings, Ruby and Chelsea grow to become great friends. But what secrets is Chelsea hiding beneath the surface? And why is it that krakens and mermaids are in conflict?

Summary
Chelsea floated in the ocean, tormented by guilt and conflicting emotions about Ruby. Initially a means to an end, Ruby's kindness and trust made Chelsea's mission to obtain the Trident and rise to power increasingly difficult and painful. Despite her determination, Chelsea was tormented by the thought of betraying Ruby, whose genuine warmth and trust had become a heavy burden on her heart.

This is an AU where Sylvanas takes down arthas and does not jump, Vereesa also is in the picture. This story was originally going to be a spooktober fic but as life got busy I changed it to a christmas fic.
I am rubbish at titles, obviously she has been apart of winter's veil but in this, she actually feels like she can actually enjoy it.

Ruby Gillman has never felt normal. She’s always been different from everyone else in the literal sense. Things turned out even worse when she found out she can turn into a giant kraken simply by touching the ocean water. Now, she feels like she has no one to turn to. But just when it feels like everything has come crashing down, she finds Chelsea, a mermaid, who thinks she should embrace the kraken inside of her. Ruby is hesitant at first, but soon finds out that a giant kraken is just what she might need to fix the broken history between her and Chelsea’s people and right the wrongs of the past. Whether or not this will be the case, is a story left to be seen.

Summary
