Of course that'll come back to bite them, and everyone seems to think Percy will be the one doing the biting. Thing is, he's tired and just wants to live a normal life. Too bad literally no one believes him except his friends, and now he has to survive the consequences of yet another one those monumentally bad decisions.

A Gothamite, a real true bonafide Gothamite, was a child of the city herself. With a dark shadow and razor sharp teeth and blue eyes. A Gothamite could slip from shadow to shadow, they would walk into one and walk out of another three miles away. Children playing tag in the darkness of the day would run into the shadow of a slide and exit across the playground still in pursuit. And a Gothamite was just a little bit insane.
Janet, despite her birth, is not a Gothamite
OR
Perhaps Jack and Janet were not entirely to blame for what would happen to their son. Because Jack and Janet loved their son, but Timothy was a Gothamite and so, the farther Jack and Janet got from Gotham the less they were able to remember him. Gotham would never allow whats hers to leave completely. By the time Tim is 14 Jack and Janet are empty shells, starving for their souls.

Red light surrounds them as Kim Roksoo activates the teleportation circle. In the red light, Cale could see how Kim Roksoo's reddish-brown eyes turn to slits as their surroundings glow.
In the few seconds it took the teleportation magic circle to activate, the red dragon answers his question.
"Why?" Kim Roksoo smirks at the human in front of him. "What other reason there'd be other than i'm doing it because i want to?"

Though he insisted that everyone call him Mr. Mark since he ‘always hit his mark’, but really it was because his name was a mouthful.”
“Wait, he’s the guy that always comes back to life, right?” Percy asked. He thinks about how the color of the man’s eyes matched the flicks of amber gold in his own eyes. The man looked so kind.
“Usually.” was the Camp Director’s response. “But he’s been gone for a while. His most recent death wasn’t exactly normal. Dropped dead in front of all of us one day during breakfast and traumatized all the poor brats.”
“...Oh. I’m sorry.”

Though this was the first time he was born as a child of the Sea rather than a child of the Sun.
