Catra knows she can be a Grinch. Anyone who has worked retail during the throes of the consumerist holiday season is entitled to be.
She used to try and shove it aside for Adora. Her former best friend was always so touchy and sentimental around the holiday, and it would fill Catra with stupid false hope. What was she supposed to think when Adora would dance around their tiny apartment singing along off-key to All I Want For Christmas is You, her eyes twinkling in Catra's direction?
As confusing as Adora's signals always were this time of year, it turns out it was never about Catra. Adora just loved Christmas. That became clear when newcomers swept into her life who could give her the kind of holiday that Catra would never be able to—the kind with lavish gifts and all the trimmings, and the big, loving extended family. Catra was so consumed by jealousy it's a wonder it didn't turn her fur green. She became something monstrous, lashing out until she destroyed them completely.
Ever since, Catra's lifelong love-hate relationship with the holiday has definitely settled into hate.
That being said, she never meant to actually steal Christmas...

So, Adora comes up with the perfect plan to solve both problems: they make a deal that Glimmer will confess how she feels to Bow if Adora asks Catra out. Sure, it will be a little embarrassing when Catra rejects her, but one day they'll all look back at this and laugh.

She is realizing all of these things because trailing behind the sparkly menace is Adora Grayskull.

In Catra's bakery.
She considers fleeing but there are few people she would trust less alone in her place of business than Glimmer Queen. She'd probably come back to find the counters bedazzled or something.
