He was a wild contradiction of a man and his story was one Cordelia wanted to understand, to know just as well as her own.

“You’re getting a roommate on Monday.”
And Xiao dropped the joint. “Pardon?”
“I’m really sorry.” Venti fidgeted where he sat, and when Xiao shot forward, Venti flung himself off the bed. “Listen…”
Xiao snarled. “I thought we had an agreement.”
