Summary
You can't have a nightmare if you never sleep. It seemed logical to one particular young woman. She has a horrible habit of leaving things in the dust when it seems too difficult to handle. "If I simply forget about it, I won't need to do anything about it" is what she would subconsciously tell herself, but deep down inside, she knew it only gave her more stress and gave her yet another thing to feel guilty about. This resulted in her becoming very lonely and shy, too scared to go out and take even the smallest of risks, whether it be making friends or simply answering questions and asking for help. Attempting to finally get the thing she so desires in possibly the easiest way she could, she happens to discover a certain place that she can finally, truly escape from everything she is trying to run from. However, the bliss one feels from escapism is only temporary, and it comes to make your life harder than it could have been otherwise.
Well, maybe that's just the push she needed after all—but it may not be best that she do it alone. -

And yet, here they were. Noelle sitting between Susie’s legs, staring straight into her eyes. It’d be darker if it wasn’t for Noelle’s bright red nose now being the only source of light in the room. Susie was sitting, literally backed into a corner, the only things as background noise being their own heartbeats and her tail wagging behind her so frantically she didn’t even care to hide it. She would be aggressively pushing her away, trying to maintain her image (from who exactly, she didn’t know, as they were alone, and that made the situation even more trippy), hoping and praying that she was strong enough to fight back these emotions, but Susie knew deep inside that it wasn’t because it was her. It was because of the feelings Noelle brought to her.
She couldn’t stand it, and she couldn’t stand that, secretly, she was anticipating whatever she was going to do next.

Summary
Pico moved away from his parents with a distant relative to escape a house and town that brought him only painful memories. Ending up in California, he grew up and drowned his anger, guilt and fears with alcohol, and sped up the process with marijuana. He was spiraling out of control, never wanting to let go of his gun, but at age 17 he met a boy named Keith who changed him.
Although Pico suffered from an anxiety disorder and schizophrenia, Keith was there for him through everything. They even started dating, got into some trouble together, but had fun nonetheless. He thought they had something special, but it came to an end around seven months after they met.
Keith had to move away because his parents decided to get a divorce. He went with his mother to another state, while his father remained. Pico was devastated, and fell back into some of his old habits that he had learned to control when Keith was with him. He stopped drinking because of him, but he continued using drugs.
Three years later, Pico decided to move away. He wanted to change his life, take control once again. He went to New York City with barely any money, and a new love for music and rap. They made him feel safe. -
