Summary
“It’s…hard to explain,” Sausage finally answered. He dragged one trembling hand through the dark mop of his hair and drew it back to his chest, fingertips moist with cold sweat. “It’s a long story.”
For a moment, neither of them spoke. The air in the tomb, heavy and still, hung over them in a thick blanket, disturbed only by the sudden ripple of a nearby growl of thunder.
“Seems like we’ve got a moment,” Pixl said, jerking a thumb at the exit, beyond which, making a gentle music upon the beaten stones of the plaza, a steady rain had begun to fall. His statement was confirmed a second later when a violet flicker of lightning illuminated the crystalline droplets, followed in short order by another deep bass rumble.
“Okay.” Sausage nodded once, then again, more decisively. “Okay. I’ll tell you. But I can’t promise you’ll believe me.”
A wry smile accompanied Pixl’s reply. “I think you might be surprised.”or: Sausage's visions are worsening, and he turns to the one person he considers smart enough to help.

"And new things to steal," Krow adds, a little quieter, but not quiet enough to avoid eliciting a sigh from Owen.
"We are not going to steal from any new humans," he tells them both, crossing his arms.
"Owen, has anybody ever told you that you're no fun?"

Everyone on the server has scars. Pix has scars from the pillagers Sausage had sent. Scott has a scar from where his sword had slipped in his grip while enchanting. Joel has a tiny little scar right in the center of his forehead from all the times he’d gotten his own head, right where the arrows all found their home. Katherine has little scars all up her arms from the thorns of her beloved flowers.
And yet, no one else has the kind of scars that Jimmy does.

“Jimmy! What were you thinking?” Fwhip scolded, after pulling Jimmy away from a lava lake, rushing to apply burn cream and wrap his arms up. They were burnt, blistering and red, but the sheriff didn’t feel any pain.
“I didn't notice.” He mumbled, somewhat unsure. He was burnt badly, but didn’t feel it at all.
“You didn’t notice?” Fwhip practically screamed. “What do you mean you didn’t notice? Are you in shock? Sit down, don’t move, I’ll get a healing potion!” He quickly rushed to his storage rooms, leaving Jimmy to think.
That's when he realized he could no longer feel pain.
Or-Gods words have power, even if they don't mean it. And now Jimmy's transforming into a real toy, and there's nothing anyone can do to stop it.

“Ready to go to the End, Jimmy?” Sausage crows, stripping off Jimmy’s long gloves and using them to tie his wrists together. They’d torn his veil to use for the blindfold, so he isn’t exactly surprised that no one thought to bring rope. He flexes his wrists at first, hoping to relax them later and slip out of the binds, but Sausage pinches his hands until he stops.
He doesn’t answer Sausage, aiming for an enigmatic and proud presence. Even if his pride is currently in pieces on the floor, he’s not the angry fry he once acted like. He’s a hero to his people, a cod of great importance. He can at least pretend to be worthy of that.
“Gosh, whatever Scott did to him made him so boring,” drawls Joey, close enough behind Jimmy that he can feel his breath on his neck. “He’d usually still be fighting right now. I miss that.”
