"You say stuff that's supposed to hurt and say you don't care yet you sit here beside me and tell me I'm not alone." Her eyes seemed to stare straight into his soul. Jax wanted to run. "So, w-why haven't you walked away already, Jax? Why are you still here?"
Silence. Jax's heart had stopped beating completely. He could feel the grin slide off his face, the cracks forming in his well-maintained facade. Then, with the intensity of an 80.000 pound truck hitting you at 105mph, everything started again.
