It's not worth pulling rank over, but he still doesn't like it. He knows for a fact he can keep going, and sure, Soap could too, but he'd rather be the one to keep pushing himself.
“Fuck off, MacTavish,” Ghost mutters as he glares at Soap. He hasn't outright said anything, he hasn't even moved an inch, but based on the way Soap's face lights up with a smile, he's well aware he's won this.

Ghost had been sure, many times in his life, that he had the worst luck in the world. Now, he could make that the worst luck in the fucking universe. Getting captured by aliens wasn't his idea of a nice Sunday, yet here he was.
The 141 knows very little about humans. They're fearsome, dangerous creatures from an even worse planet. The few expeditions foolish enough to get close disappeared entirely. The one report salvaged from a lucky ship, a long time ago, isn't really helping.
They have to figure out what to do with the one in front of them.Or, humans are space orcs but make it COD.

Summary
There is nothing grounding him, nothing that keeps the voices out. No direction but forward. No direction but Johnny.
The last thing Ghost sees before crashing into Soap are his wide, crystal blue eyes and his mouth opening, not quickly enough to get anything out except for a strangled "Ghost-".
Their bodies connect with a shock. Ghost was prepared for the impact of body against body, the sudden heat and the pressure on his skin that felt grounding despite the pain. However, he didn't anticipate the crack of lightning rushing through his body the moment he touches Soap.
It shocks him right to his very core.
Ghost has long escaped his imprisonment at Roba's, most of his traumatic experiences burrowed deep in the most hidden corners of his brain.
Why is it now, with Johnny getting closer that he's plagued by nightmares and flashbacks? There is something special about the man, something scary... What is it Ghost doesn't remember?
