Summary
The man moved with the same predatory grace he always had, and if he had aged in the past five years (it was a bit hard to tell from a subpar camera on the other side of the street) then he had aged well. Which was all entirely predictable of course. No, what had thrown Q and everyone else in the ops center who had ever met Bond or read his file was the way that he was dressed - faded blue jeans with holes in the knees, a t-shirt from some unidentifiable but probably local surf shop, and-
“Are you wearing Converse?” demanded Q before he could think better of it.
Bond’s eyes unerringly found the camera through which Q was watching, an expression of vague displeasure. “Well, I don’t generally make a habit of wearing suits to fix my boat, and I doubted you had the patience for me to change.” .James Bond has been retired for five years. But when a highly sensitive mission goes to hell just a few miles from where he as settled down Q is forced to ask for his help. Bond and Q return easily to their old ways - they are also forced to finally confront their feelings for each other.

Well, this is a common trope. Yet a trope so easy to contribute to. However, this fan fiction is presented in comic format and dives right into the story.
Mind the tags as you dive in.
All line work, rendering and dialog had been done by yours truly, so it takes some time for me to post here. Single pages are located on my Tumblr if you are impatient, and completed chapters will come here.
This fan comic goes into dark places. Deals with dark things and isn't necessarily a happy story to start off. The original graphic novel touched on many, MANY subjects that were not spoken about publicly and still are taboo for some demographics.
This is a warning. It's not for everyone, but life itself isn't always pretty and perfect. I won't be offended if you decide that this isn't the story for you. It combines both the graphic novel and the Netflix series should you feel the need to find out more on some of the lore behind my story.
It gets tough before it gets better. I promise a rewarding experience in taking this journey with me.

TRIGGER WARNING: Brief mention of sexual assault in Chapter 3The last Geralt saw of Ciri, she'd left, trying to prevent the White Frost foretold in the prophecies. She never returned, presumed dead. For a mutant who was rumoured to have been stripped of emotion, Geralt struggled for some time over the loss of the girl he saw as his own daughter. He sought vengeance, finding the last crone, the one Ciri had failed to kill, and he finished the job quickly in order to retrieve Ciri's medallion, which had one belonged to Vesemir. Geralt travelled alone from then on... Yennefer and Triss had cut ties to him, having discovered he'd been romancing them both at the same time. Lambert and Eskel had disappeared, heading off on their own paths to other continents, leaving Kaer Morhen in ruins. Witchers had become a rarity, and rumours had spread viciously, causing even more hostility towards the mutants than before.
The continent has been ravaged by war, famine, disease and crime spreading across the land, but Witcher work has become harder to find. Alone, hungry, tired, Geralt finds himself need of assistance, and he has only one person left he can rely on.

Sometimes, Geralt considers wintering in Corvo Bianco, or even in the City of Golden Towers with Ciri in the Emperor’s palace, where the milder winters would be kinder on his injured knee. But his family is up in the North, and Geralt will endure a few months of physical discomfort if it means spending time with his lovers and Vesemir.
