Summary
Grefgor shuffled again, trying to be careful of his shoulder pads scraping the floor, or making any other awful noises. He usually did his best to remain quiet. He knew he was an unimportant figure in this story, and any wrong move might have his head rolling.
Not that he thought Shilo would do that to him. His prince was sweet, most of the time. His eyes examined the dark bathroom ceiling, nothing about the unremarkable white standing out to him.
Shilo was nice to him. That's all Grefgor could ask for. Shilo stood up for him, had gone to him for comfort in his worst moments. Shilo was nice.

Mike lay awake at night, thinking over scenarios where he and El were just talking, and then she was slamming doors in his face or force-choking him against a wall. El bleeding out of her eyes, or just lying there, no breath in her lungs or joy on her face. He would roll over and think about his sisters, Nancy screaming in pain possibly, or Holly, dear sweet Holly caught up in his mess somehow.
He thought about it, long and hard, and liked to think if he thought of every outcome, that he might be able to tell the shift in the room, when Els' demeanour changed or if Holly showed up and just knew because he thought of the same thing happening just two days ago.
Sometimes, however, thoughts skimmed past the living nightmares in his head, and he knew he had to push them deep deep down, not even entertain thinking through them. Because on the off chance he was the one Vecna decided to curse, he couldn’t know those types of things went through his head, causing his heart to sink to the core of the earth with just the brush of an idea.

Summary
Mild-mannered junior reporter (and relatively recent superhero) Clark Kent gets his first big job all to himself. When the trail leads him to Gotham and the turf of his ally, and idol, Batman, Clark gets injured in the crossfire, unable to reveal his true identity. He's forced to recuperate at the mansion of Batman's apparent ally, infamous playboy Brucie Wayne. Bruce's kids seem determined to keep Clark in close proximity, thwarting his attempts to either return to his super persona or avoid Wayne's ridiculous flirting. But there's more to the case, and Wayne, than meets the eye.
Batman doesn't rescue pretty reporters, that's Superman's schtick, but when a firefight forces Clark Kent of the Daily Planet to recuperate at Wayne Manor, Bruce will just have to manage. Juggling fatherhood and an overbearing public persona is bad enough, but fighting the investigative power of a journalist in his own home could bring down not only his secret identity, but his sons'. He's determined not to give in to the draw of big blue eyes, or, more embarrassingly, to his boys' meddling. And worst of all, no one can find Superman.

Oh, and eight kids who are maybe a little too good at meddling.
Everyone else is just along for the ride.Featuring: Copious blankets, platonic intimacy, the Justice League being surprisingly functional, sex pollen (now with 200% less sex!), Kansas typical repression, pillow forts, rebar, romantic intimacy, Batfam typical shenanigans, untranslatable words (coming to a dead alien language near you!), and the fictional concept of Omegaverse, which is also here for some reason.
