Jason Todd was supposed to be having a normal patrol in Crime Alley during Gotham's usual dark nights.
That all comes to a halt when he finds a baby- a literal baby, and doesn't know what to do. Though the obvious thing to do would be to bring the child to the authorities, right?
Wrong, the kid just summoned fucking shadows, and no usual home could even be possibly well enough equipped to take in a metahuman baby, and he's still on thin ice with his family.
Where the fuck is he supposed to go now?

Bruce pulled the Cowl off with a glare. “Dr. Fate is not someone you can just call at your whim.”
A snort came from the helmet. “He is if I'm at risk of collapsing the multiverse. Now, y’gonna let me use your fancy-ass supercomputer to call the Justice League, or do I have'ta call Constantine?”
Bruce looked like he'd bitten into a lemon. “We'll take the Zeta.”
