Summary
Endgame fix-it, slowish burn, little angst, some smut and mostly fluff, with a happy ending.
Basically I’m scratching and reversing the Endgame ending, Steve does go to place the stones back, but he does not stay in the past with Peggy, like what the hell was that?! We’ll see these two men learn to communicate and face some feelings they had pushed back because of some tiny issues like aliens and such.

“I missed you a lot, Buck.”
Said brunette looks up from his drink towards Steve. The blond’s whole body is facing him now, a serious look on his face. And before he knows it, his whole body is turned towards Steve as well. Giving him his full undivided attention.
“I mean, you were the sole reason I even went on that rescue mission in the first place. Now– don't get me wrong– I'm– I'm glad I was able to rescue the others too, but…” Steve trails off. He gets a tense look on his face and looks off to the side.
He continues, voice low, “I don't really know how the rest of your unit would've fared if you hadn't been one of the ones captured in the first place. Y'know… with me doing this outta nowhere with no planning– all of it riding on just the chance that you're still alive.”
