Summary
Escaping was easy, living with the memories isn’t. Drift, Shelby and Scott have left the gates of Oakhurst but none have fully forgotten their experiences there.
Scott is haunted by the actions he took during his centuries of being alive. The grief and guilt of all he’s done has finally caught up to him. He has many ghosts following him, luckily he isn’t alone.
Or Scott learns to feel and process his very neglected emotions with the help of his two daughters.

Peter shrugged and it wasn’t that big of a deal. “My new one doesn’t seem that bad.”
May’s lips tipped up into a smile. Ben used to love making her smile. He used to say that May’s smile was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. That it was like a warm bath after a long weekend full of misery. “Do you like your new lab partner?”
Peter thought about Harry, about his honesty and small tight lipped smile he always sent Peter’s direction. About the joke he had used to cut the tension during decathlon and the freckles that dotted his cheeks. Did he like him? Peter shrugged because he wasn’t entirely sure if that was the correct word for it himself. “He seems okay.”

Roy Harper is alive.
He’s there, just feet away, fast asleep on Jason's couch, with Lian curled up into his side. It's almost the same position as when she’d jumped into his arms at the ballet studio. She hasn’t let go of him since, even as they’d both eventually fallen asleep on the couch in June Ellington’s generously rented apartment.
Jason hasn’t let him out of his sight. He doesn't move until Roy cracks open his eyes. He blinks slowly, scanning the room, then looking down at his daughter’s still sleeping form nestled into his side. Finally, he smiles.
“Morning, Jaybird.”
Jason could cry.
