Three days ago, Andrew walked away. He packed a bag and drove, not sure where he was going, but afraid to stay and let himself fall deeper into this non-relationship with Neil. Now he's back (and really, he should have known he would be back), but he still has to wade his way through the mountains of backed up feelings he's suppressed to really be okay with this. And he also has to face Neil, who he knows he's hurt. Lots of angst but don't worry, Andreil can never die.

He’s not relapsing tonight. That would be too fucking easy. So fucking easy that Andrew wishes that was the problem. The real problem is an inherited sickness he was condemned with when he wasn’t yet old enough to understand that that kind of love isn’t love. Yet it would sound like a lie if he confesses he doesn’t want to want to relapse anyway. So instead he says, “You’re not safe with me.”
