This will prove that I deserve to be under Jang Geum-ja’s apprenticeship just as much as you, or Sae-byeok, or Jung-bae. In fact, this will make it very clear.” He gritted his teeth. “I. Am. Better. Than. You. All!”
Sang-woo laughed, but it wasn’t the laughter of a friend. No, this was the laughter of a madman.
Or, after failing to prove his qualifications, Sangwoo tries to summon In-ho but Gi-hun intercepts and the Demon King is now bound to Gi-hun instead!

He's sure he'll end up suffering the torture of “how do I explain to everyone that my boyfriend is just really busy at work and can't come if there really is no boyfriend at all and I obviously look stupid trying to pretend there is” at dinner, however, when he arrives he finds out that he does, in fact, have a boyfriend. Well, maybe it's only the second time he sees this man, but who counts?
Or: Gi-hun accidentally tells a stranger at a bar that he lied to his friends about the existence of his boyfriend. In-ho can't resist taking this chance to get close to the man who won his attention at first sight. Everything goes according to plan.

“I’m going to fucking kill you.” Gi-hun hisses, his voice breaking on the words.
In-ho stares up at him, his breathing uneven, and for a moment, something other than pain curls in his chest. “You’re so beautiful when you’re angry,” he says softly, his voice low and almost reverent.
It starts with a cold night and stolen moments in the dark - Gi-hun, wrapped up in Young-il, clinging to his warmth and whispered half-truths. But there's another man he can't stop thinking about, the one hiding behind a mask.
When he finally puts the pieces together, it should change everything. Instead, it changes him.
(aka: In-ho warns the guards about Gi-hun’s plans, and thus brings his little rebellion to the ground before it even starts. now he has to cuddle with his crush to stay warm - how unfortunate! especially because Gi-hun won't stop talking about how much he wants to kill him)
