Before the end of his fifth year, Regulus Black went missing.
In the start of what should be his seventh year, he's working in a bar with no memories of his past life; to just be able to make it by for him and the family he'd made along the way.
All he wanted to do was ask the random, insanely attractive stranger who he had an undeniable pull to for their number. He did not expect to be pulled back into the world of wizardry and a life he could not care less to remember.

Summary
When Sirius leaves to go on a trip for the christmas holidays with his boyfriend, it leaves James, for once in his life, left completely alone. During the break, he supposed there were a lot of things he could be doing- but instead he was rotting inside of his apartment, alone with his thoughts and the recent bubbling, deprecative feelings within him left after a recent break up.
His days are slow, his mind slower, and it's what has him taking one of his late night runs much later than he's planned, setting out beneath the stars.
What he does not expect- is to find a man on the bridge, overlooking the ways down below.
Or; James thinks it's fate that has him running late on his daily run and finding Regulus Black before he can jump, and Regulus does not think he has it in him to find a will to live until he is staying in a random man's apartment, hiding out from his parents.

Summary
Writing in a diary wasn’t something that had ever appealed to Regulus; even the thought of writing down his every feeling like that brought about some embarrassment. But he was going to dwell on those thoughts all night regardless, so he decided in the end that there was no harm in at least attempting to purge them by committing them to paper first. The tip of his quill lingered in the cobalt ink for a moment before he made the first mark.
A second passed, and Regulus watched in surprise as something new appeared in the diary, dark and cramped cursive words replacing his own.

2) A certain voice actor by the pseudonym Jay, who makes “spicy” audios.
Regulus has always known the universe to have a sick sense of humour but he didn’t know it was this cruel. He’d recognize that voice anywhere. To Regulus’s shock and abject horror, James Potter is Jay, there’s no doubt about it.

Regulus had never thought too much about love. He had read about it in plenty of books, sometimes toyed with the idea of experiencing something such as that himself, but ultimately rolled his eyes at the conjecture. He certainly couldn't base his idea of love off of his parents. Orion and Walburga had no time for such commodities, or much rather, they detested the very notion of love just as much as Regulus did.
Regulus Black had never thought much about love, but that was until he met the Sun.

Regulus glanced around them. Stray cars littered the road, ransacked and destroyed. There was trash, papers, and wrappers faded beyond recognition. The billboards were all the same as they’d been seven years earlier, frozen in time. 'The end is near!'

Regulus Black wakes up one day in a hospital bed with a bullet wound in his stomach and hazy memories, just to find out that in the 5 weeks that he has spent in the hospital in a coma, the world as he knows it had gone.
James Potter has spent everyday since the outbreak in the safety of his house on the Potter Family Farm, joined with the company of the McKinnon Family, with only one concern. Where was Sirius?
Sirius Black had spent the day of the outbreak alone, deciding to bury his feelings in a bar, when all hell breaks loose and he is evacuated to a survivor camp with none other than his ex-family, Walburga and Orion, except there was no Regulus. Shit.
Remus Lupin had stayed in his family home after the outbreak. Due to his mother's poor health, they couldn't go to a camp, so they stayed together, as Remus' only friend Lily Evans, went into hiding with a man Remus despised, Severus Snape.
A boy who wakes up with no idea of what's happening, everyone missing somebody and getting close but not close enough to finding them, flesh eating zombies or 'walkers' at every location. None of them are prepared for this the post-apocalyptic world.

Sirius studied Remus’ face. He was curious what he thought of all of this, the only one of them who didn’t have a mark– theoretically– and the only one with a muggle parent. Muggles didn’t get marks, he knew. If Remus’ parents were soulmates, then they wouldn’t know it. He wondered if there was a way to tell, though. If they could just feel it, somehow, even without the help of some magical fate.
Because it seemed like something you would just know, just from being near someone, from being close enough to them, from being in the same space. Like their souls would attract like magnets or like water droplets traveling down a window, waiting to merge until the last moment when they realized they were on the same path, and then they’d become one.
Was that fate, Sirius wondered?
He realized Remus was staring back at him, his eyes puzzled and curious and warm.
Sirius looked away first and didn’t look back, pushing down something heavy and impossible in his chest.
