Teacher AU for Gale x Tav (Elisedd). Includes some original characters I made for Elisedd’s backstory.
Gale Dekarios went through a cruel breakup 5 months ago, and its left him damaged, traumatized. Elisedd’s recently moved away from the East yet again and is trying to rebuild the life he dreamt of before he followed his now-ex fiancée to their promising new job 3 years ago.
Written for the #GaleAUweek A Tempest of Events, Day 7. I could only do one prompt because I develop AU ideas wayyyy too much lol. More chapters to come.

Summary
Alternate timeline set about 5 years before the events of BG3, so 1487. I am assuming Mystra's been back fully formed for Gale's whole life, idc how the forgotten realms lore and baldur's gate lore are (not) lining up. There will be no tadpoles, no Absolute plot. This is a slow burn, but I will be giving a taste of spice at the start of chapter 6. I intend to include a good number of hot scenes.
Gale comes to Myth Drannor (elven city in the Cormanthor forest, entire opposite side of Faerun) on a magic research quest/exchange. Tara insists he attends an invitation only singles' banquet. He says he'll go, but only if she comes with him.
Elisedd has lived in Myth Drannor his whole life. He's used to events like this banquet, and he hates them. He'll attend this one though to appease his mother, if only so she'll leave him alone for a tenday, hopefully.
Gale and Elisedd do not make great first impressions on one another, but they both think the other is better company than the rest of this haughty, snobbish crowd. A relationship begins. Sort of.

Elisedd (Tav) is a kind bard though who's going all out to treat these feet and make sure the wizard's in top shape tomorrow. Unbeknownst to him, Gale is incredibly touch starved, and doing something about that...

Summary
Elisedd's very friendly, but with the orb finally stabilised, Gale wishes all of the bard's attention were on himself instead of anyone else in the party. After a day having his attempts to schedule a rendezvous to confess frustrated, the wizard hides in his tent to pretend he had the object of his affection was comforting him. Then, realising he doesn't have to hold back how he feels, Gale lets go of his dignity for a while.
Prompt:
Gale has been pining for Tav for weeks, believing they’re into another companion. One night, after many failed attempts to tell Tav how he feels, and at the peak of his frustration he summons a mage hand to pleasure himself whilst thinking of Tav, but it’s not enough, he’s needs more so he summons more hands and imagines each one is Tav caressing him. His conscious catches up with him and suddenly feels like he’s being ridiculous, what if they caught him like this, what would they say? He dismisses the Mage hands, but one stays and continues to stroke him. He can’t figure out why the hand won’t leave. Magic!Tav heard his rustling and the whisper of their name from his lips. When they sneak into his tent with an invisibility potion they can’t resist giving him a hand. -

Summary
Elisedd (Tav) has a tough relationship with the arcane arts. Gale is determined to connect with magic, a central part of himself. Not to mention each one of them has their own angsts.
Really this is just a self-indulgent work that is helping me work through shit in my own life. I'm delighted if you enjoy it though!

I wrote this several months before I decided to actually write a fanfiction. Today just felt like it'd be nice to share. Some things are different (scene version is for 1 artefact rather than 2 artefacts), but I really liked the core of the writing and emotion in this as it already was, so I didn't change it.
