In a world where everyone is born with Marks, markings on their skin that signify their powers, there is only ever one person born with the Mark of Yang, the Gift of Life, and one born with the Mark of Yin, the Curse of Death. The two are bound by kismet, as they are the only person in the world unaffected by the other's Mark.

So this is really interesting to me. I actually didn’t finish this fic but the idea of phoenix being given the gift of life, and Miles being given the gift of death and the legitimate implications, for what that means relative to each other.
What I mean is, well first of all, if Phoenix can gift life I think that would tie in neatly to his depression when he has no one to help. Which would give some sort of significance to Miles gift of death.
I’m tired as fuck actually. I need to think on this
