It’s Christmas Eve, and Dean, Sam and Castiel are snowed into a small town with a big festive spirit. They splurge on a fancy room in a B&B – hey, they deserve a treat. There’s a tiny plastic tree and a working TV, so they could perhaps overlook the lack of hot water and Dean having to bunk with Sam. Sleeping arrangements soon reach a happier equilibrium: Dean’s just cuddling Cas to keep him warm, he swears – the tingly feeling means nothing! Christmas Day arrives, and Cas still doesn’t have a gift for Dean. Dean doesn’t know what to give Cas, either. Sam has a few ideas, but will the other two truly understand what he means?

Dean chalks it up to exhaustion, or some monster messing with his head, anything to ignore the real cause: Cas in his personal space, in various states of undress, and, wow, way more muscular than Dean would’ve expected.
But if it’s just physical lust that’s the cause, then that’s an easy fix, right? No big deal. There’s definitely nothing else that his subconscious is trying to tell him. Absolutely not.

Cas Novak just won his fifth CMA award. He loves singing, but the touring was getting old. Living in a bus nine months out of the year was slowly destroying his creativity. He hasn’t written anything new in over a year. Then he hears an old song on the radio. He vaguely remembers the handsome singer and wondered whatever happened to him. It seems an easy solution to cure Castiel’s summer blues, but when they arrive at the Winchester household, Dean realizes due to a slight miscommunication with his mom he and Castiel will have to spend the summer sharing a bed and holding hands because the entire Winchester family thinks they’re dating.
And really it shouldn’t be that big of a deal because Dean Winchester isn’t actually in love with his best friend; except for that he is.

Bucky crowded into the booth next to Tony and slung a friendly–and protective– arm around him. “Names James Buchanan but friends call me Bucky and pretty people like you get to call me Bronco.”
He winked and Tony blushed nearly scarlet, stammering uncertainly. “Well, I–I– you– um–”
“You wanna know why they call me Bronco, sweet thing?”
“Now see here!” Ty started to object but shut up abruptly when a rather large hand clapped down on his shoulder, Steve having to apply next to no pressure to keep the other man seated.
“Now see here.” Steve repeated, voice lowering dangerously. “I think you should reconsider your tone, because if you start a scene I can guarantee me and Bucky will finish it and you don’t want that to happen.”
“Sure would be a shame if I had to ruin this pretty table by putting you through it.” Bucky added, and when Steve sent him a look, Bucky ever so casually tugged at Tony’s sleeve so Steve could see just the start of finger shaped bruises at his wrist. “Tell me Tony, how do you feel about coming over and finishing your Valentines Day dinner with us?”
