Summary
An altercation with the Spot's wormhole-like powers throw Peter Parker into a different universe- one where he doesn't exist. Gotham city is dark and unforgiving, but Peter quickly gets back on his feet by monopolizing the untapped market of superhero photography, while also building his vigilante alter-ego back up from the ground.
Yet another Peter Parker in Gotham fic, because its fun. Also, I adore reading about Peter accidentally scaring people by being spider-y, and giving the Batfam a bit of their own medicine in that department sounds like fun.
This is my first fic, and I have consumed very little canon DC stuff- please forgive my shoddy character work, blatant abuse of grammar concepts, and inconsistent capitalization. There will be NO explicit content in this fic, bc it makes me supremely uncomfortable, and swearing will be kept to a minimum. Violence will also likely be low bc I'm not good at writing it.

Mu qing moved away from xianle a long time ago; personal problems, money issues, and family issues.. well, that among other things. he moved to a place called 'ghost city', unable to afford to live in xianle anymore. Jobs here were easy to get, and the couple he had atleast paid him enough to get money for his mothers medication and pay for a cheap apartment (despite the city being ridden with crime and gangs.) However, the new heir finally inherits ghost city and now he keeps seeing people he knows from back in xianle in ghost city, and he doesnt know how long hell be able to avoid them for once they know hes here.

In this, Mu Qing dies during the confrotation with Jun Wu and as he dies he wishes things could've been different.
That he could've had more time with his friends, that he and Feng Xing hadn't allowed the tentative relationship they've been building for two hundred years frizzle into nothing as Xie Lian ascended for a third time.
He wishes he couldn've been faster, stronger, smarter and had seen the truth behind Jun Wu's act to avoid Xie Lian the pain.
He dies full of regret.
And then, opens his eyes an undifined amount of time later. His neck unbroken, his chest whole, and his guts firmly inside him.
He wakes up to a very concerned Crown Prince of XianLe, who is calling him by his name, and hesitainting to actually touch him, almost afraid to hurt him by accident.

Now they're sharing a body, or at least trading off on using it, and it's pretty clear that something suspicious is going on. Hopefully, with both of them on the case, they can figure out what's happening without too many deaths, and then once that's done maybe Lan Wangji will help them get unstuck from each other. If, that is, they decide that's something they really want.
