After a fight she barely remembers, Nami wakes up in a jungle she's never been in before. Her confusion doesn't get any lessened when she runs into three young boys, one of which is definitely a smaller version of her captain.
She needs to get back to her own time, her own adventure. The crew will die without her for sure. But until she can figure out how to do that, she might as well hang out and make sure these insane kids don't die, which might be harder than she initially thinks.
And something about all this just feels weird...

She is at this moment not yet aware that her life is soon to take a drastic turn.
She looks up from what she’s reading, confused, and says, “Wait, is this a fucking self-insert?”

“Tch, I dunno. I’m not a doctor,” Triska says. “He’s probably just exhausted. Let him sleep and he’ll be fine.”
“Oh, good,” the girl says. She sinks to her knees in front of the bed and looks like she never intends to get up. As far as Triska can tell, she’s not injured either. Not physically, at least.
