So when she landed in 1950s Hogwarts and discovered Tom Riddle was still human, still hot, and still obsessed with teaching Defence Against the Dark Arts under a doddering old professor — she made an executive decision:

This arrangement serves as a guarantee for peace between the two families.

Harry realizes that his husband actually hates him and can barely tolerate his scandalous and petty behaviour and married him only for political connections with the Potter family.
