Dream’s wheezing laughter echoed off the walls. “Tommy- oh, Tommy, that’s hysterical. You’re a comedian, y’know. I’m crying. And what on Prime’s bells do you think you could give me so I could abandon my life’s work? You have no items, no leverage… you don’t even have the discs anymore, do you? What do you even own?”
“Myself.” The word came out as barely more than a whisper, and the implications sat in the air for a while before Tommy spoke again. “I’ll- you can do whatever you want with me. I won’t fight back, I won’t talk back, I’ll do everything you ever fuckin’ ask of me. I won’t try and escape, or anything, as long as you leave my friends- and, honestly, my fuckin’ enemies- alone. I’ll be your- your friend, your puppet, whatever you wanted from me in Exile. Me for them.”

That would be truly devastating.” Zephyrs slowly moved his head to gaze at Obelisk’s wound. His tongue clicked as if he was thinking of a plan to solve the issue.
“I have a solution, we have a healer right here don't we.” Zephyrs turned to address Tommy for the first time that night.
“How about you heal Obelisk and we can get to taking off those binds, hm?”

Tommy just dived into the deep end of pain. Tommy goes to school while maintaining a part-time job. Having to practically pay all the bills, finds out that one of his closest friends is a vigilante and he has the constant worry that his powers are going to lash out and kill someone. Top it all off with accidentally stumbling in on one of the Syndicate's plans. Tommy is fucked, isn't he?
At least he won't ever see them again.
