The man hovering over him leaned back, releasing Grian completely. Cold night air rushed in to fill the void.
“I guess it’s out in the open now,” the stranger hummed. “Shame. I wanted to avoid this.”
With the additional glow occupying the space between them, Grian was finally able to catch features that were lost in the prior darkness. His curiosity outweighed all else, and he drank them in greedily. As soon as he saw who sat across from him, alarms blared in his mind.
This man wasn’t a civilian, wasn’t even a hero.
“Hello, Doctor,” the villain mused. “You were quite the help today.”

Simon Riley has never been one to put much stock in fairytales such as "soulmates". The idea that there was someone out there that loved him simply for existing had been beaten out of him by his father at a young age. He mostly ignores the silver vines trailing up his left arm to his shoulder blade. It didn't mean anything to him.
Until he met one John "Soap" MacTavish, a barista at a local café. Suddenly, Simon finds himself desperately wanting to catch a glimpse of Soap's left arm, hoping against hope he bore a trail of gold vines up his arm.
Oh, and Price is getting married to Nik. So he supposes he also needs a date for that.

The longer he's there, the more intensely he can feel the bloodlust and hunger, and only Joel seems to know what's going on. But how? And why Joel? And why is he so hungry?

Letting out a breath, Stanley leans forward and presses a chaste kiss to the Narrator’s forehead before taking his hands back to sign. “It isn’t silly if it’s upsetting you. I’m not forcing you, but I’d like to know what’s wrong so I can help.”
“Fine,” he relents, his face falling as he looks down at the marks across his abdomen. “It’s the stretch marks. I know you told me they’re beautiful, but…I fail to see that.” His voice is quiet, as if it’ll break if he speaks any louder.
Or: Stanley helps the Narrator see the beauty in his stretch marks when he can't.

And as he gets closer to Hanako, he finds himself starting to care about the distant ghost. But in advance, he faces dangerous ghosts and super naturals coming to get him. Not to mention Scar accidently swallowing that damn mermaid scale.
