Summary
Raising a child in an isolated cabin in the middle of the forest alone wasn’t easy. He couldn’t go hunting for their food because he couldn’t leave Yogurt home alone and he was not enough of a shitty parent to want to bring him with him when there could be mobs roaming around every corner. The wooden cabin he had built for the two of them was very creaky and it made it hard for Yogurt to fall asleep. Meaning that Fundy often had to stay awake for as long as it took for him to calm his son down enough for him to finally go to bed. Afterward, he was usually too exhausted to sleep himself.
Between the constant exhaustion and the terror of something happening to Yogurt, he hadn’t managed to keep up with many of his house chores either. He genuinely had no idea how single parents managed.
One could have argued that he maybe could have gotten in contact with his father and asked him for advice, but Wilbur’s idea of parenting from the very start had been finding someone to drop all of his responsibilities on any time any issue arose. There was one person he could call, however, the only one left he could rely on: his somewhat uncle, Tommy.

Raising a child in an isolated cabin in the middle of the forest alone wasn’t easy. He couldn’t go hunting for their food because he couldn’t leave Yogurt home alone and he was not enough of a shitty parent to want to bring him with him when there could be mobs roaming around every corner. The wooden cabin he had built for the two of them was very creaky and it made it hard for Yogurt to fall asleep. Meaning that Fundy often had to stay awake for as long as it took for him to calm his son down enough for him to finally go to bed. Afterward, he was usually too exhausted to sleep himself.

Neteyam's eyes never left his own. Amber, with specks of light green carving into a cloudy, chocolate brown. A sudden wave of recognition washes over him as he can finally place where exactly he had seen that daunting look.
It was the same look he's seen in his district. A look he too shared at some point in his life. It was a look of want.
And that look of want was fixated on Spider.
