Sevyn looked away from his father, tears in his eyes. He's only fifteen, and he's just had his first heat. "You won't let me end up like mom, will you?"
Sevyn's father pinches together his eyebrows, blue eyes staring into his own. His fingers lightly stroke at his beard. He does that often when confronted with requests he knows he can't make promises to. He leans back in his recliner and finally looks away from his pack's youngest baby. "You, like your mother, will always be safe with us."
It's a piss poor answer. His pack can't seem to keep a good omega alive and healthy. Maybe with Sevyn, they can do it right this time.

Summary

Thanks to Okoye, Ramonda already knew about Talokan when Namor made his ultimatum by the river. As a result, the queen delivers a counteroffer: A true alliance between Wakanda and Talokan, sealed with a treaty.
Fascinated by the warrior who bested him in battle and challenged him with Talokanil Law, Attuma tries to unravel how Okoye acquired this knowledge. She seems to hate him deeply even though they had never met prior to the battle at the bridge. If there was one thing Attuma loved more than fighting, it was solving a mystery.
But Okoye was determined to hang on to her secrets. Revealing them might just make her fall apart all over again.

Attuma meets WKabi due to acting on the behalf of Namor to establish connections of trade with Wakanda. WKabi is just one of the first to meet him although Attuma perfers the way Okoye does business and her company.
The two hit it off instantly whenever W'Kabi isn't around.Meetings would turn to small conversations between one another. Attuma would push for possible lunch dates with Okoye. When W'Kabi wasn't around, Okoye would always roll her eyes and remind him she has a husband. Attuma would always grin and say that he was a blind fool of a husband.
"Attuma, I am married."
"And what if your husband was no longer around then hm?"
"Do not say things like that so loud!"
Completely comfortable with one another and Okoye though she scoffs at Attuma’s on going flirts she would still listen. Close moments of kisses that always seemed to be interrupted.
"I know that he doesn't touch you. Why else would you stare at me with such hunger? As if I didn't notice."
W'Kabi suspects Okoye is cheating eventually. But doesn't know with who.

Attuma turned around quickly at the light voice, he didn’t even hear her approach him, and judging from her apologetic look in return she knew this.
“I am sorry, I didn’t mean to startle you but was everything okay?”
The crease in between his brows only softened slightly, though she wore no apron he did see her name tag that read, Okoye.
