Summary
To stop Thanos, Stephen Strange is forced to cast a spell where the Avengers and co are kicked out of their home dimension and placed into a complete new one to start anew.
But weakened in battle, Strange only had enough strength to bring half of the heroes in Gotham, the rest were all scattered into various hidden limbo realms within the multiverse until they could safely be retrieved.
But with no money any only the gear they came with, they have no way of getting the materials needed to build the portal needed to bring their missing friends home.
At least, not legally.
Deciding to temporarily turn into a crime mob, the Avengers are now known in Gotham as a gang of criminals who steal high tech machinery from LexCorp, Wayne Industries, etc.
The Avengers are now fighting to not just bring their missing family and friends back to this new dimension, but to throw off the bat and bird themed vigilantes that are hunting them down.
Only one thing was certain in this dimension: chaos!

Peter froze. What? Just… What? “...I can do that?!” He bursts out. Dr. Strange gives him a look. In response, Peter clears his throat. “Ah… I mean… What would that choice involve?”

He’d been a disappointment to, to his Aunt, his friends, civilians who looked up to Spider-Man, the Avengers, everyone.
Maybe that’s why he was abandoned, a dark part of Peter’s mind sneered.
A broken toy that some higher power took pity on and lovingly (perhaps even mockingly?) spared it any further damage.

But of course that's easier said than done, and every road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Harry's a traumatized eldrich horror, Death doesn't understand human morals, Sirius has no idea how to handle his godson, a Death Eater daughter and a Half-Dementor are questionable company, and some shades of grey are so dark they might just be black instead.
