Someone worse than anyone Peter's ever faced before.

Given that over the course of the past eleven months Peter Parker hasn't contracted so much as a head-cold, the teenager thought it safe to assume that the whole 'irradiated spider bite' gig had equipped him with an immune system of steel that rivalled Captain America's.
So when he wakes up one night in the midst of the worst asthma attack he's suffered in almost eight years, neither he nor the rest of the team can think of a logical explanation.
And everything sort of goes downhill from there.(Set in an Alternative Universe where Peter moved into the Avengers’ Tower following the events of The Amazing Spider-Man.)

‘A bit’ is a bit of an understatement, considering it’s been weeks since they had the conversation about Peter’s obvious desire to see Steve and Tony together.

Those who said that Tony Stark didn't have a heart, in Steve's most esteemed opinion, were morons who didn't know a fragment of the man he does, because it's safe to say that, if anything, Tony Stark has probably too much heart. And Steve can't help but love him for it - though he knows he can never have him.

Tony has almost nothing to look forward to. Nothing to drive him. Nothing to move him. He's stuck in a funk, living day-to-day, the horrors of his past and the realities of his present bearing down on him harder and harder with each passing day; his mind coming up with new ways to belittle him every day.
That is, of course, until he meets a baby-faced kid with a proclivity towards scientific advancement.
And, suddenly, things don't seem too bad anymore. Shame Tony can't really understand why.
