Summary
Following the events of Vox's failed attempt at overthrowing Heaven, the Hazbin Hotel is thrown into further chaos which Charlie, with the help of her friends, must deal with.
Not only is Charlie forced to deal with Lilith returning to Hell after eight years away, but she has to balance the arrival of a desperate Vox who is using the hotel as a means to get back the power and respect he originally lost with everything that happened in his takeover.
Set after the events of season 2.

Each fantasizes about devouring the other in a completely different way.

“Running away again, Mr. Coward?” Vox murmured, his low, electric voice far too close to Alastor’s ear, tickling as it seeped into his body like a direct electric discharge straight from the source. The dial demon clenched his jaw, irritated by how easy it was for Vox to read him while inside his mind. Even in a dreamlike form he was still annoying as hell, pun intended.
“I’m. Not. Running,” he replied through clenched teeth, but his accelerated pulse betrayed him. Vox laughed again, calmly, like he did every day since he had kept him as his prisoner. Spinning him in his hands, as if they were a couple dancing under the rain.
Vox smiled, tilting his head with a commanding tone slipping from his mouth. “Then stay here with me.”

“I don’t understand you,” he finally admitted, equal parts delighted and baffled by this revelation, “But I am glad it played out this way.”
“I bet you are,” Alastor scowled. He was hiding something- something, something, whatever. Vox couldn’t care if he tried. He tightened the wire around him, pulling him down into his lap before immediately releasing him, giving him the option to move if he wanted.
“It’s more fun having you as my prisoner,” he buzzed, and when he stayed put, he reached out to brush a stray hair from his cheek, delighting in that brief flood of color to his face, trying not to think about the way his knees were pressed on either side of his thighs.
“Does it ever get boring? I mean, seventy years of relentlessly obsessing over one person…really, Vincent, how long will it take you to move on?”After decades of fighting, Vox has finally won. The radio demon is on his string now, and everything is looking up for him. Only, once he finds himself alone with him, he's forced to realize that maybe he doesn't hold as much power over him as he thought- and maybe he doesn't even want to. Will he give in to Alastor's games, or is he strong enough to finally take control over him?

Summary
Vox had only planned to spend one week vacationing in this city, but by sheer accident, he crossed paths with a man who made him extend his stay far longer than he had anticipated. Vox also began to notice that there was something *off* about the place he had been renting all this time.
Vox, “Don’t you think we’d make a perfect pair?”
Alastor, “In your dreams.”
Hearing the rejection didn’t wound Vox in the slightest. He merely grinned as he tidied up the clothes belonging to the both of them, scattered carelessly across the floor.
At the very least, he was the only one who knew the darkest secret of the man standing before him—and that alone was more than enough to bind their fates together.

Spanning from the day Alexandra de Sardet first learns she's going to be leaving for Teer Fradee until the final confrontation at Anemhaid, tracing the development of her relationship with a certain captain of the Coin Guard. A prequel to After the End and Return to Serene, it originated as a "flesh out the cutscenes" project and became a full novelization of the game, expanding on all the characters' arcs, friendships, and character development.
In terms of content warnings, it contains everything the game does, notably: violence, mentions of rape, mentions of past sexual abuse (including childhood sexual abuse), and that major character death at the end. Chapters with such content are labeled in that chapter's notes, as are the NSFW Kurt/de Sardet chapters, which are explicit but not graphic.
Fic is complete and has been revised to be fully canon-compliant, albeit with Greedfall taking precedence when/where The Dying World contradicts it. If you find any typos, editing mistakes, etc., please let me know so I can fix!
