Summary
Adopting a secret cat in a no-pets-allowed apartment building is one thing. Kissing the new property manager after he discovers your secret cat is another.
Learning the property manager thought he was straight until you kissed him and accidentally sent him into a tailspin—well, it's a weird twenty-four hours for Ed Teach.
So: friends. Friends, he can do. Friends, that's easy. Except there are mochas, and there are movies, and there's this whole queer discovery he's helping Stede navigate, and there are a hell of a lot of chocolate muffins.
Sometimes the journey is the most important part.

Summary
When Remus was seven years old, a mysterious man came through a blocked out window in his home. He said he was from the future, and that there was a rift in space-time linking their timelines and putting them both in danger.
Now grown, Remus is sure he must've made up the whole thing – but did he?
Or: The premise of The Girl In The Fireplace (Doctor Who S02E04), but make it Wolfstar.

“Sirius, it’s me. I’m Remus.”
It comes out low, almost apologetic, though he can’t explain why. What can he possibly be sorry for – growing up? Sorry because he’s not seven anymore? Sirius is the one who should be sorry for– for– for not being here. For making a promise and then breaking it.
Sirius’ confused stare only deepens. “What–? No, you can’t be. Remus is a kid–”
Remus narrows his eyes. Heat is rushing up his face, making his throat tighten up. It’s like all the anger and the frustration and the disappointment of waiting all those years – of thinking he was imagining things – finally catches up to him.
He forces the words out, and they sound hurt and broken:
“Why did you take so long?”

Summary
Ed's minding his business when the new neighbor's kid comes around holding a human puppet. It's creepy as hell, but as soon as the kid's father rounds the corner, Ed doesn't mind.
ETA: Podfic available here from Kninjaknitter my darling dearest
“Hello,” says the strangest voice Ed’s ever heard, jolting him out of his reverie, sending his heart speeding into chaos. He opens his eyes and he’s staring straight at a stuffed animal in the shape of a human person. It is bald with a tiny hat and too-big eyes and it wears a blue shirt and a name tag that says Jeffy in the sort of scrawl normally reserved for words written in blood.
A puppet, he realizes several seconds beyond when it would have been appropriate to respond.
