"I thought I could do good," Louis whispered, ashamed to the core of how completely futile it all sounded now. "I thought I could be good." Lestat's eyes blazed silver and gold in the candlelight, and Louis held them, wracked with such anguish that he felt he'd crumble if Lestat looked away now. "Haven't you ever wanted that, Lestat?"
1794. Pointe du Lac lies in ashes. Lestat, desperate to keep Louis with him at any cost, tries something he's never tried before: he talks.

Selling blood to thirsty vampires isn't the most reputable way to make some cash, but it's not nearly as risky as it sounds. It doesn't even hurt, or so they say. Kyle's a little skeptical, but he needs the money. And he'll try anything once.

Honestly, if someone told him this morning that he’s going to be attacked by a vampire on his way back from the library, rejected half a second later because apparently he’s not delicious enough for the guy’s liking, and then have said vampire concerned about his health – well, he’d tell them to check out the local GP when they next have the chance.
Surely this isn’t normal?

Summary
Reid proves himself different from other leeches time and time again, much to McCullum's chagrin. Monsters took lives, they didn't save them, and yet here the good doctor was running himself ragged curing the sick and culling the epidemic.
Alternatively, Reid and McCullum just keep running into each other. Considering their shared hobby of slaying monsters, it shouldn't be so unexpected.

"God help me, I've heard some pretty shite ideas in my time, but this might have to top them all."
Adjusting the engraved cufflinks of his shirt, Jonathan did his best to ignore the irate hunter changing behind him. Which was rather difficult as McCullum actually had a point. The idea was mad. This whole situation was mad. He had clearly lost his sanity during his battle with the Red Queen and now lived in a bizarre fever dream. A bizarre fever dream where a week earlier, he had received an invitation from Ascalon to attend their Christmas soirée.

Summary
Post Blood and Wine.
Much has changed since Geralt of Rivia had been released from prison after he let the vampire Dettlaff van der Eretein go. While visiting the Duchess Dandelion found evidence that the whole of Sylvia Anna’s childhood traumas were orchestrated by the Duchess in order to gain control of the duchy for herself. A coup was staged, and Damien de la Tour is currently in control of the duchy. With the help of Yennefer of Vengerberg, he is holding the duchy together till the Emperor can arrive and set up a new line of succession for the storybook state.
With Regis having been gone for close to a year Geralt held out little hope of ever seeing his friend again, but when a new conspiracy comes to light, this one deeper, more insidious than the previous, Damien de la Tour pulls Geralt from retirement. Regis and Geralt are tasked with one of the toughest battles they will have to face.
