It’s pointless to dwell on what happened— Jax pushing away, hurtful words exchanged, the fight; he’s a white puzzle and she’s stuck between giving up or completing the whole thing without any help, while the pieces would run and hide from her right before she was about to finish a section.
It’s a good thing she always liked challenges.
And for better or worse, he’s stuck here as much as she is— stuck with her. If he wants to be an a[*€$@#]e, then let him be. Let him push her away again and again. It’ll take much more than that to break her resolve.

“No- sorry, it's Felix-” he looked at her, smiling awkwardly before realising: "You're messing with me.”
She actually laughed this time; it wasn't just a chuckle or giggle, but an actual laugh.
Christine then leaned in a little, looking at him.“And you fell for it,” she smiled.

Now, they were determined- with Gangle’s loving pushing- to find someone who could play an instrument with them, on stage. They could find anyone, though, until they were out of a late night grocery run and ran into a certain man they’d barely seen in the past seven months.
A certain man who refuses therapy for the life of him, and keeps scrolling through past messages, dreaming of a timeline where he didn’t make the same ‘mistakes’. At least, mistakes in his eyes- things no one would ever blame him for.

So, usual spoiler warning for this series. This time, not as much will get spoiled for The Stupendous Summit Scaling Soiree. But the end of chapter 2 is spoiled. And the start of chapter 3 is referenced but altered shortly after.
You still really won't fully get what's going on without reading at least the first 2 chapters of that fic, though I recommend reading it all first.
In this rendition, I have completely rewritten the third chapter of the main fic of this series, to be as bad an ending as possible. No one gets out unscathed. Everything sucks. It will leave you covered in various bodily fluids...and not the kind all over Zooble's room when Gangle shows off her latest cosplay.
You are my playthings, and I get JOY from watching you suffer!
