Summary
Some time before the events of the movie Rumi explains a new PR stunt to Zoey where Rumi and Mira will temporarily act like a couple to please the fans with fanservice, but Zoey is distracted. Thus the younger girl misunderstands the situation and starts to believe that her two best friends really ARE lovers. And she is conflicted - she wants them to find love and support them, but she can't help but feeling left out. It awakens an old madness mantra from their training days within her shaken mind, when Mira had mentioned that she thought demon hunting would be "too much" for Zoey, that the younger girl "was not (tough) enough". She takes more and more drastic measures to ensure her place within their little group. How much stress will she have to endure before Rumi and Mira can clear everything up?

The girls are enjoying their well-deserved vacation after the movie, but Rumi is acting strangely. One time it seems like she's flirting with an appreciative Mira, then she breaks down into tears after a simple question from Zoey, then she completely loses herself in the joy over her birthday party - it seems like all of her emotions are getting out of control now that she is not repressing her demon side anymore. Summary

After Casita's fall her relatives are drawn into her dreams to acknowledge their failings as family members and bolster her self-esteem in return. This allows her to accept her own feelings and to become the family matriarch, beginning to study the miracle and eventually change the gifts in minor ways by creating magic-altering armbands to ease the burden each of her relatives is carrying.

“Exactly. I was just thinking, I don’t want my first kiss to be with some person I barely know on an awkward first date. I want it to be with someone I really care about. Someone I love.” Zoey looks between Mira and Rumi. “Doesn’t that sound better?”
