“You know, if you had just confessed right after we broke free from the second world petrification, you wouldn’t even have to think about having Tsukasa play guard dog. You and Gen would have already been firmly established. You'd be living a genuinely domestic life right now instead of just ‘playing domestic’ in that little cabin. But to each their own, I suppose. Personally, I am incredibly happy with my life, with my mate by my side.”
The words struck a raw, agonizing nerve. ‘Playing domestic.’
The casual jab hovering in the air like an unsolved, frustrating equation. He knew Ryusui was right. They had spent months sharing a roof, sharing meals, and sharing glances that meant everything, yet they were fundamentally standing on a fragile glass floor.
“Hah. You and Ukyo don’t know a lick of what ‘no PDA’ means.” Senku scratched the inside of his ear with his pinky, a classic look of clinical disgust plastering his face.
“You can’t blame me. Ukyo is far too irresistible and I am greedy as hell,” Ryusui deadpanned, entirely unbothered by the critique.

“You know me,” Gen smiled. “I'm the greatest coward you'll find on this ship - if you don't count Ginro. I don't want to find out if the answer is not to my liking.”
Gen and Senku have a good arrangement. You shouldn't fix what ain't broken, right?

Summary
El camino hacia la construcción del cohete puede ser largo y tedioso, pero al mismo tiempo corto y efímero. Gen se percata de los sentimientos que brotan en su pecho, la soledad, la angustia y la ansiedad… todo eso y más con tan solo pensar en que Senku se dirige hacia un viaje sin retorno a la luna. No puede decirlo en voz alta, no quiere que su egoísmo incomode al científico, pero no hay opción, es la única manera de enfrentarse a Whyman… Aun si el plan de Chrome y Suika de crear un cohete capaz de regresar a la Tierra le da un poco de esperanza, el rencor hacia Stanley y, por sobretodo, el miedo de perder a Senku, es lo que impulsa a Gen a poner al fin en palabras, sus más oscuros sentimientos.
Spoilers de la última temporada de Dr stone o el volumen 25 del manga.

Summary
Gen was in love with Senku, he knew that since he made the observatory for him. Whenever Gen looked at Senku he realized how inlove he is. He sees Senku's sharp ruby eyes shine from the excitment of doing a science experiments, his annoyance with other people and the fact that Senku only allows Gen to be slightly touchy with him. But despite dropping all the hints to Senku nothing happens.
So now what can Gen do? Try harder, ignore Senku until he crawls back, but Gen doesn't have much time because of his heat so the real solution is he'll just find another.
or Gen loves Senku, Senku ignores his love, his heat is nearing so he just finds another alpha and senku gets upset
