Summary
After surviving the initial assassin sent to kill Leila, the Night Court now turns to its next task: surviving the European Summit. With this many fae concentrated in one place, things were always bound to get dicey. Matters are only complicated by the mysterious mist that has bound itself to Leila, which is slowly devouring her mind. Even worse, they're probably playing host to the people who sent it. When an unexpected guest arrives with the delegation, Rigel's got his hands full just keeping Leila alive, much less the whole romance thing he can't seem to figure out.
Leila, meanwhile, is caught between two realities: the one she remembers, and the one she's seen in pictures. With the Summit events demanding her attention, and her ever declining condition, she has no choice but to rely on her self-appointed stalwart defender. As their quarters grow closer, and their public appearances increase, fake-it-till-you-make-it is her motto once more. Rigel's quite the catch, but can she really fall for a guy in a matter of days?
And, how does one deal with premeditated regicide? Sometimes it's not easy being Queen.

Summary

While Merlin struggles to process what Arthur has sacrificed for him, Arthur finds himself having to reconsider his relationship with his father, his kingdom, and the people he has sworn to protect.

Summary

Summary
Leila has ruled the Night Court with Rigel for two years, and the pair have made massive progress improving the toxic culture of the fae. As Leila's star rises, however, unknown shadows seek to take her down. When an attack against her partially succeeds in his absence, Rigel dedicates himself to hunting down the fae who tried to kill his wife.
Unfortunately, the spell used on Leila has some nefarious lingering effects...and if Rigel can't resolve them, it's entirely possible the Leila he knows will never return to him again. With preparations for a Summit with the European Fae in full swing, and plenty of sharks circling in the water, it's a race against time to become an assassin hunter, figure out who ordered the contract, and regain the only person he's ever loved.
Part One of a Two part series, born from the idea "what if Rigel had to woo Leila?" Written for NaNoWriMo; Edited in Dec. Most scenes from Rigel's POV.
Fandom blind readers: The first two chapters should contain sufficient information about the world and current status to orient you, but the final chapter (33) has world related lore and character descriptions if you want more data about Magiford and the original trilogy.
