When he initially went job searching, all his hope had spiraled down the drain with every page he sifted through. References, high school diploma, good standing, experience… Every single one listed something that Vash simply didn’t have. By the time he got to the fifteenth page, all the listings had been for such specific types of people that it was no wonder they weren’t getting snapped up immediately. Once he’s in the car and on the way to his apartment Atsumu finally opens the envelope Kiyoomi gifted him after dinner. He chokes on his own spit when he pulls out the bundle of cash.
