Eight years after the defeat of Voldemort, a separated Lucius Malfoy is busy rehabilitating his image. What better move than buying the Holyhead Harpies – everyone loves Quidditch, right? Summary
Nine years after the war, Lucius Malfoy is a ghost draped in fine robes, recently released from Azkaban to the ruins of his life: an empty ancestral home, a wand that resists him, and no one left to call family. He expects only to fade into obscurity.
Until a Thursday morning brings a sight he cannot forget.
Two children. Malfoy hair. Malfoy eyes. Malfoy poise.
And with them — Hermione Granger. No longer the Golden Girl, but a celebrated scientist… and unmistakably a mother. Her return to Britain stirs old grudges, older secrets, and something far more dangerous: a pull neither of them expected. Between them lies a truth that could shatter everything Lucius thought he knew about blood, legacy, and the possibility of love.

Summary
Hermione strikes a deal with Lucius Malfoy, but both get more than they bargained for. Hermione learns that her intentions are not as noble as she initially thought. Lucius learns that Hermione is not to be underestimated; beneath her Head Girl facade is a witch as ruthless as he is. What follows are hard lessons for both regarding trust, power, selfishness, redemption, and sacrifice.
"You do like that, don't you?" Lucius said, his voice low, seductive. "It's almost as if you want to enjoy this. But that would be unthinkable, wouldn't it?"

F**K! Holy s**t! What a beautiful mind f**k. That's how much I enjoyed this fic. I've lost my eloquence; I'm reduced to profanity. The plot was intricate, creative, and gorgeous. Hermione and Lucius were both dark af but also redeemed. Emotions sprang from the prose and swallowed me whole.

Summary
It was her.
Not similar. Not close enough to mistake. Her, precisely, in defiance of the years that ought to have settled between then and now.
The room lost depth and sound, flattening into something distant and unreal. He could not move. For a heartbeat too long, he could not think.
Shacklebolt finished his sentence: “—Miss Hermione Granger.”
For an instant the words failed to mean anything at all. They were only sound.
Then meaning arrived, sharp and disorienting. Lucius felt something slip, subtly but decisively, out of alignment.

Summary
Hermione Granger has found herself stranded in the 1960s. Her plan was simple: don’t interfere, don’t change the timeline, and stay out of trouble. She intended to make the most of her unexpected exile, immersing herself in the pursuit of knowledge without the distractions of war or expectation. One thing, however, had most certainly not been part of the plan: catching the attention of none other than Lord Voldemort — at the height of his power.

Summary
Hermione Granger has been holding the Ministry together with precision, exhaustion, and the brittle kind of strength people mistake for stability.
When the MIS-3 Panel decides she looks “unsteady,” the next step is intervention — polite wording for a trap she can’t afford to fall into.Lucius Malfoy is the last person she should trust.
He’s also the only one who sees exactly how close the net is tightening. What begins as uneasy cooperation settles into something sharper: late-night strategy, quiet rooms, a dangerous kind of honesty, and two people who refuse to let the world break them the way it intends.
“I don’t want your martyrdom either,” she said.
“I am not offering martyrdom.”
A ghost of that humourless smile again.

My new favourite Nivien novella—actually, this one is novel length. (Bonus.) There's so much heart in this one. The suspense was so satisfying that my soul ached to finish it. This Lucius and Hermione are fascinating—their spycraft, intelligent dialogue, developing trust, subtle longing—it's all wonderfully presented. 🖤

Summary
After the Triwizard Tournament, Cedric Diggory was believed to be dead—his fate sealed by Harry Potter’s testimony, which claimed he was murdered by Peter Pettigrew and Lord Voldemort. But years later, following the final victory at Hogwarts, Cedric reappears—alive and inexplicably well.
His return, however, comes with unsettling surprises: he now speaks Parseltongue, appears even more striking than anyone remembered (or had they simply forgotten?), and seems to have developed an intense interest in the brightest witch of their age.

Let the world see that she belonged to him.She might not realize it yet, but he certainly did.
He had decreed it—and so it would be.

Worth finishing due to a brilliant plot and dynamic characterization. Thoroughly enjoyable by the second half.
I pushed through incessant, repetitive pros and dialogue throughout the entire story rather than DNFing, and I'm glad I did. Because this story could easily be edited to 1/2 the word count without sacrificing any details, I got through it by skimming over chapters to avoid wasting time on regurgitated content, focusing on new descriptions, dialogue, and actions.
Spelling is very inconsistent with canon terms (for example "Shacklebolt" is spelled 4 different ways), which pulled me out of the story a few times, but the plot was so magnetic that it pulled me back in.
Overall, interesting lore, world-building, and HEA.

Summary
The summer begins and Hermione isn't sure who she is anymore - be it friend, or lover, or something in between. In an effort to rediscover herself, she escapes to the French countryside to begin what she hopes is a long, lazy season of peaceful walks in the meadow and good books devoured, whilst curled up happily on a nearby windowseat.
What follows, however, is a much stranger, much twistier tale of shocking revelations, unexpected new friendships, and the hot, itching feeling of being caught beneath the gaze of two silvery eyes, which watch her hungrily from across the ballroom floor.

Summary
She laid a hand against the door and pushed. The heavy wood creaked open. Hermione stepped forward—
—and found herself staring once more into the hall.
She stopped dead, spun back. The doors stood open behind her, but beyond them was nothing: no corridor, no passage, only the same space she had left.
Her throat tightened, a flicker of panic she refused to indulge. “We’re trapped.”

So, this author came onto the Lumione scene with the same panache as Severus Snape entering a classroom, and started churning out quality novellas back to back to back . . . . They are the new reigning Novella Sovereign of AO3.
This one is my favourite so far because I dig the subtle gothic horror twist at the end.
