Dean stares at it for another moment before glancing at Sam, who’s sitting against the wall with an open book balanced on his knees.
“I think someone left a shirt in the dryer,” Dean says.

There is more bright light, and Jayce moves to cover his eyes with one gloved hand. He grimaces when a blast of heat gusts against him and he takes a step back into the nothingness. The hum in his ears intensifies until he can’t even hear himself panting with the sudden fear that overwhelms him. An abrupt feeling of intense curiosity balances out the fear though. The very ancient human need to confront the unknown forced him to open eyes he hadn’t realized he’d closed tight. The sight that greets him nearly brings him to his knees.
