With a prolonged cough, “Marls” manages to make him lower his book, revealing an annoyed grimace and large brown eyes topped with thin eyebrows. He has the nose of the Roman sculptures surrounding his garden in France.
“Remus.”
His voice is hoarse, an octave lower than Sirius’s. His name, spoken as an obvious fact. The Welsh accent suits him, matching his countryside look, far from the poise of great families."

Mainly a fic told from the point of view of all the Marauders‑era characters (They’ll end up being sixteen POVs, but I promise I introduced them little by little so you can slowly get attached to each of them and follow a more or less coherent plot.). I read All the Young Dudes years ago and wasn’t fully convinced by the characterisation, so this is my take on it.
The timeline goes from their first year all the way to Mary’s death
I am obviously AGAINST J.K. Rowling in every way. This is a reminder not to buy “official” merchandise because she is literally against all the rights that our fandom stands for.

They were fifteen, and it was the summer when Sirius began to grow his hair out in an act of protest, when James Potter was head over heels in love with Lily Evans, when Peter Pettigrew stood up to his big brother for the first time, and when Remus Lupin sacrificed all his precious free time to work at the Lovegoods' farm.
It was the year with the first signs of the events to come, the first big arguments, the first awkward declarations of love, the first recognitions that something was changing in their immature minds. At least that's how it was for Sirius. But back then he couldn't yet name these unconscious perceptions.

OR: After The Prank that Sirius plays on Snape, Remus decides to leave Hogwarts. He spirals into self-hatred, doing anything to forget about his former friends and "monstrous" self. Eventually, though, his friends find him. Things only get worse after that.

Summary
This is an alternative universe for the Marauders that is constantly on my mind. The characters are millenial born in the 90s and teenagers in the 2010's expecially in 2014. Based on the song New Romantics by Taylor Swift and that vibe.
Everything is practically the same as in canon except they are muggles. And Hogwarts is a prestigious boarding school.
Remus & Sirius are childhoood friends who meet at ten because the Lupins used to work for the Blacks. But for circumstances they break apart. But Remus gets a scholarship to Hogwarts in sixth year. Muggleborns= Scholarshipped kids. Purebloods= Rich kids. More like. There is still discrimination for the scholarshipped ones.Bookmarked by Withgrace

Summary
Hogwarts was supposed to be a gift for Remus, sent from the grave by his dead parents. Yet each year when he leaves behind his little sister at his uncles house, it feels like nothing but a curse. Now, he has to deal with a dead best friend, an annoyingly persistent roommate and the letter he hoped he never would recieve.
Hogwarts was supposed to be a punishment for Sirius, James, Marlene and Peter. Cut off from their parents and threatened to be on their best behaviour, it feels like it. It's a good thing they were never there for long.

Summary
It starts in summer of Fifth year after the prank, Remus finds a group of friends outside of Hogwarts and has some interesting times.
He is pretty gay and comes out to his closest friends (eventually) all whilst being Casanova and hiding relationships from his school friends.
He also has a very good relationship with Poppy and Minnie (they are his second mums ok?!)
Also I should probably add that he is very depressed and you should definitely read the tags and probably not read it until it gets to a better point later in the fic if you're in a bad place. <3

Summary
Sirius is trying his best to just get through life at the moment, hanging out with his mates and having the "normal" teenage experience. He's making the most out of being at Hogwarts, away from his depressing home life. But his home life can still make Hogwarts depressing at times.
Remus had started questioning certain things about himself, as if his lycanthropy didn't give him enough to think about. He was sure he figured it out, and then he developed a crush on his best friend. But hooking up with Sirius was easy, maybe a bit too easy.
Remus would happily be in a relationship with Sirius, but Sirius doesn't do relationships. At least that's what he's always told himself. When Remus gets a boyfriend, Sirius starts thinking otherwise

A lot of heartbreak happens in the fic so be prepared to grab some tissues. With an alternate ending that will make your heart bleed this Fic is not for the weak.
