It’s funny—Hanbin thought he’d be at a loss, not knowing every single thing that happens in Hao’s life, but somehow it’s better hearing the words from his lips, rather than witnessing it firsthand.
He knows it tints the story, that he’d have a more accurate version of the events if he’d been there. But life is not about optimizing everything. No, sometimes, life is about listening to your boyfriend tell you about his day, and indulging in the quirks he adds, the opinions and the thoughts that you wouldn’t have been privy to otherwise.
The tint that shapes every story Hao tells is a color that Hanbin wishes he could apply to his entire life.

Summary
With the clock rapidly ticking, Hao decides it’s time for a new plan—said plan being fake sleeping. Hanbin will get home, see that Hao is “asleep,” and quietly get ready for bed. He will then peacefully sleep next to him, not knowing a thing. Then Hao will either one, actually fall asleep, or two, lay there in agonizing horniness until it’s 3am and his rationality is gone. Then he can quietly sneak off to shower, deal with his “problem” and wash away his shame, all in one! Perfect! Hao turns to the wall and closes his eyes, pulling the blanket tight around his head. Unfortunately for Hao, Hanbin can always tell, without fail, when Hao is pretending to sleep.
Hao chooses to ignore this fact.
Zhang Hao makes a mental note to never eat strange food from Matthew ever again.

Ricky’s eyes shift into something unreadable as his face goes completely still. He takes a second too long to answer. To anyone else, it’d be meaningless. To Gyuvin, it makes his stomach instantly fall. Like he made a mistake. Like something’s shattered and he won’t be able to put it back together. Like he's in trouble.
“I know.” Ricky’s fingers twitch by his side. Gyuvin doesn’t even say anything about how there’s no ring on his finger. He doesn’t want to imagine why. He isn’t sure he can handle it right now. “I love you, too.”
That’s a pretty good example of how things are lately.
Gyuvin and Ricky have been best friends for over thirteen years. When they start drifting apart, Gyuvin starts to wonder where everything went wrong.
