Bucky rolls his eyes, but smiles anyway, “Nerd.”

He mimics her movement, bar actually touching the countertop because he doesn't want to dirty his arms, she has long sleeves on and he does not, he is not protected from the dirt and apple juice like she is.

He was helpless, the only thing Sam had left to do now was close his eyes, hope the branches of foliage below were enough to break his fall, and brace for impact. He’d been through the training, feet first into a roll was his best bet; the second option didn't seem feasible with the lush blocking his path but he could at least stave off lasting damage. Hopefully.

Or Sam gets hurt and Bucky steals a snowmobile to help his husband because he's so in love and no amount of work beef comes before marriage (and teasing Sam about getting injured in the first place).

Summary
There was no use getting herself captured in an attempt to prove herself capable of fending off multiple trained soldiers, especially not when her portion of the mission was accomplished. With that new goal in mind, she spared a second to look around the room she was trapped in.
One second too long it seemed, as in an instant there were way more than three blasters pointed in her direction and firing without hesitation. She managed to bring her shield up just in time to stave off any lasting damage, but not before one of the shots landed smack-dab in the center of her chestplate, sending her flying a few feet backward.

Keith had been trailing silently behind her, she could hear his light footsteps in the sand, and the light crackle of his breathing over the intercom, but besides that there was no indication of his presence.
When they were about twenty minutes from where they started, Pidge heard a small grunt in her earpiece, she stopped in her tracks, spinning around and eyeing Keith carefully.
He was staring at his side, where a small blowdart was sticking out from the black under armour of his suit. She watched as he plucked it out and studied it with confusion layered on his face. A few more of the darts littered the sand by his feet, as if they had intended to hit him multiple times, or maybe they had been aiming at the both of them.
“Are you okay?” She asked, eyeing the horizon wearily, but she could find nothing.
Keith looked at her, still holding the small projectile, “I think so? But we should run.”

He fights to stay in the present, but a being of the ancients can only hold on to each second so tight. They seem to both stretch eons and disappear in a blink. He's found himself skipping forward hours at a time, simply thinking and not thinking at all. Pleasantly numb to the things around him while acutely aware of anything he might need to be looking for.

Now, Dean stood in front of the seesaw all by himself in this big empty park and he just felt sad. This overwhelming type of sadness that was much too big for his tiny body. He missed his brother, and he didn’t want to go on the seesaw without him. They had played on it a bit before the baby had gotten bored and clambered off to go do whatever, like eat sand.
He missed his Dad and his Mom. The sun was setting and he was scared and he wanted to go home. But he threw a tantrum, and Daddy had warned him that he’d leave him if he kept whining like a baby and then he did leave and he's probably not coming back and Dean just wanted to go home.

He almost calls out, but his voice dies in his throat, suddenly feeling tired. More tired than before, breathing is hard; not panic-attack-hard, or not-having-enough-air-hard, but as in his lungs just won’t put in the effort to expand; they too had gone achingly numb.
Why hasn’t Sam stood up? Is he also experiencing this strange out-of-body trip? Dean hopes not, then they’re both screwed.

The sun was sparking, peeking in his window like it did every morning in the gleaming streets of Tumble Town, shining brightly through the glass like a stalker, watching him fight against the blankets he happily buried himself in the night prior, an act he was beginning to regret. Jimmy would've shut the curtains if he had any, he'd been meaning to buy some for a while now, or at least fashion up his own, but never had the chance; being the sheriff of a blossoming town such as this left him with hardly any spare time for something a trivial as getting himself a curtain. And considering the ache that encompassed his head he certainly wasn't going to do it today; not with the blinding heat that rushed through his veins like acid, burning him from the inside to the out.
