“I’ve never killed anyone… In your village.” Shadow defended, and Sonic felt sweat dripping down the back of his neck.Or, when one of Eggman's attacks actually succeeds in wounding Sonic, he and Shadow are forced to spend some time together. To both of their chagrin.

“Mmhmm,” says Sarah, and when Sam can tear his gaze away from Bucky, he sees that she’s fixing him with a sweetly compassionate gaze. He readies himself for some no-nonsense sisterly wisdom. In tones of deep sympathy, she says, “And you’re horny about it.”
Sam grits his teeth and grips the arms of his lounge chair. “I’m so horny about it, oh my god.”
Bucky is finally ready to make amends with himself, and specifically his body, but he might need to enlist some help. If that help involves kind of, sort of tricking an overworked Sam into doing some self-care and having some fun of his own, so much the better. Sam, meanwhile, is happy to help, it's just that helping Bucky is turning out to have the inconvenient side effect of falling for him too.

Sam wouldn’t have, in a million years, thought Bucky could or would be this close to him when he first spotted the asshole steal his steering wheel, but here Bucky was; literally close enough for Sam to feel his hot breath.
And – was that breath minty?
Weird question.
Sam shouldn’t think about whether or not that was spearmint or wintergreen.
Sam shouldn’t think about the way Sam kind of loved it when Bucky looked serious, light trickling through the pantry door in lines as Bucky scanned the room behind Sam.
Or how strong Bucky’s arm felt as they held Sam close.
Or how Bucky’s scruff had accidentally brushed up against Sam, the prickly, scratchy feel of it nice before Bucky grumbled a blushing, “Sorry”.
Nope.
Sam should.
Think about his grandma.
Just.
His grandma.
Making quilts.
Pretend his grandma was in the room right now. Watching them as she made a quilt.
Sam might have accidentally laughed at the idea of his grandma squished in the pantry with them.
“What?” whispered Bucky.
“Sorry. It’s nothing,” mumbled Sam.
