“It’s uncomfortable to talk with you up there,” he says, in the brisk business tone he adopted from Michael. “Would you mind coming down, please?”
There’s a long moment in which Aziraphale doesn’t receive any sort of answer, and his daring almost deserts him. And then a leg drops into view, and then another, and then a young man is swinging himself down from his perch to land with uncanny agility on the floor. Behind him falls wave after wave of what seems to be a black veil or train— except it’s too elastic and shiny to be either of those— and it’s only when the last curl has hit the tile that Aziraphale realizes it’s hair.
“What,” he says at length.
The boy is wearing a pair of round dark-tinted glasses, but his silence implies that he’s staring right back.
“What?” Aziraphale manages to make it a question this time, his voice going slightly higher than normal.
Alternatively, the one where Aziraphale accidentally finds a hidden tower and a lost prince blessed by the night sky.

Crowley raises one dark eyebrow at him. “You sound as though you’ve got something in mind already, angel.”
His eyes are golden in the sunlight, and his red hair is plaited loosely down his back. It sends Aziraphale back to 1186, to that spring wedding in a sprawling field of eagerly blooming jonquils. He thinks of how beautiful Crowley looked there in all his sunrise colors.
Aziraphale reaches out to touch a rogue curl that escaped the plait. He can feel Crowley holding his breath.
“I suppose I do,” Aziraphale admits quietly.

“Angel? What’s—” Crowley seizes up in some alarm when the angel keeps coming, piling onto the sofa with such disregard that Crowley has to either yank his knees up to his chest or lose them. “Oi!”
“Give me your hand,” Aziraphale whispers furiously, like a man afraid to be caught speaking in church. He catches hold of Crowley’s wrist, pushes the ring onto the traditional finger, and goes on, “Do exactly as I say, and for the love of all that’s holy, don’t ask questions.”
There is absolutely no way Crowley can abide these terms. If the threat of Falling wasn’t enough to keep his mouth shut in the Beginning, an Aziraphale-brand snit certainly won’t be, so—just as soon as Crowley can get his jaw to stop hanging open, and kick his backfiring brain back into operating speeds, and do anything besides sit there and ogle at Aziraphale’s ring on Crowley’s finger—then there are absolutely going to be questions. Loads of them.

“Are you thinking what I’m thinking?” he calls up to Bentley.
‘I guarantee you I’m not.’
“It’s time to make a deal with a witch,” Crowley declares, and dives under the water, leaving the duck to stare after him in horrified confusion.
