Summary
Kaveh is a national reporter. He aids thousands in their survival and knowledge. Everyone in Sumeru knows his name.
Alhaitham, Cyno, Sethos, and Tighnari are simply men settled safely in their bunkers.
But one fateful day, the news reporter breaks script and leaves Sumeru to pick up the pieces.
Alongside the original crew, Kaveh and a few new additions work to rebuild Sumeru from the smog and lights in which it was reborn.

“Uh…” Hu Tao swallowed, glancing around the car to her companions.
“Not it!” everyone but Razor yelled, jumping in their seats before erupting into laughter.
“I still don’t understand that game,” Razor sighed, grasping Bennett’s hand. “We’re going to the Scientology Pacific Area Command Base.”
The driver stared at Razor in incomprehensible emotion. “You guys are speed runners?” he asked, “Have you done it before?”
Xingqiu’s grin grew edges, “Oh, but of course we have!”

Charles grabbed the wall as support, gasping.
“Fuck..” Bennett whispered.
“Oh- enough with that!” Alice snapped, “He has Klee with him!”
Lisa sighed, “Sorry, Charles. We thought you were Diluc.”
“Even with a mage and a god, we couldn’t discern when Diluc would come,” Jean mumbled.
God?
“New nickname for Aether!” Paimon yelped.
“Back into your places,” Varka commanded, rubbing the bridge of his nose, “Charlie, go put your present on the table—oh, nice wrapping paper!”
“It’s Charles,” the man mumbled too quietly for anyone but Kaeya to hear.
“Good sport, Charlie.”
In short? It's Diluc's birthday, and everyone gives him silly lies as they plan his birthday!

A migraine nestles in the left side of Alhaitham’s head. Unpleasant. He pushes himself away from his desk on his rolling chair and stares out the window to clear his mind.
He doesn’t expect to see someone staring back.
Alhaitham doesn’t startle. Just—freezes. Creep, he thinks.
Alhaitham is annoyed and overwhelmed from the construction and its loud noises on the roof above his office. However, he finds one light in the situation: a man who routinely appears outside his window, clad in a highlighter-colored vest and hard hat.

Out of the corner of his eye, he could see the younger man’s shoulders drop and his hand coming over to gently stroke the rail.
