“What the…” Akira murmured, approaching it cautiously. He knew for a fact no books had been left out…
It was stupid to be nervous. He’d locked the door immediately at ten p.m., so it wasn’t like there was a lingering surprise customer knocking shit off the shelves. It must have been resting on the edge and lost the fight to gravity. A reasonable explanation. He knelt down to pick it up and paused with his hand hovering over the cover. His fingers trembled slightly as he read the title.

Her voice was quiet when she spoke up, but it did not waver. “Akira’s not there.”
Goro blinked, his entire plan he had meticulously put together for the day coming to a screeching halt. “...what do you mean, ‘he’s not there’?”
“You don’t know…” Yoshizawa took a deep breath and let it out as she stepped fully away from him.
“I think you’re right, this isn’t the right place for this conversation,” she said, finally meeting his gaze. “I-I think it’d be best if you came home with me.”
A year after the fall of Maruki's reality, Goro returns to Tokyo to face Akira again, only to learn everything is not quite as it seems.

It takes all of Akira’s willpower to not follow the hypnotic movement.
“You seem to have gotten a lot of customers,” Akechi says, demonstratively knocking at the jar twice, never breaking eye contact.

Joker, leader of the Phantom Thieves, stands before them.
He jumps from the pillar of ice he’s perched upon, flipping, landing perfectly on his feet, looking no worse for wear. His face softens, and he smiles, stepping closer. But the Phantom Thieves of Heart are on their guard--they take a step back, and their leader laughs, mock-offended by their display of distrust.
“Come on, guys. Has it really been so long that you’ve forgotten me?” He rests one hand on his hip, and uses the other to lift up his mask. Golden eyes shine like priceless jewels, reflecting against the dim light of the underground in the Ninth Circle of Dante’s Inferno.
“That’s not him,” Oracle’s voice says, up from above. Her voice wavers. “That’s not Joker--it’s his shadow!”

How did they get like this?
Should he wake Akira up?
Should he move himself?
Can he get out of the bed without disturbing Akira?...Would it be okay to just… stay like this?
It’s not weird, right?
They’ve gotten quite close during their time at university, and are comfortable around each other, enough that personal space has become virtually non-existent....And it’s just sleeping… nothing wrong with that.
Goro closes his eyes again, and tries to relax. It almost works…
Until Akira moves closer and snuggles up to him.

By the process of elimination, it could be deduced that the boy with the choppy purple hair and crocodile tears was the only possible culprit.
But Shuichi can’t prove it. Because there was no reading Kokichi Ouma’s tangled up mind.
